YUMMY TB filly on New Vocations, but...what color do YOU think she is?
I don't think she can be a bay without a black mane and tail. She looks like a Liver Chestnut to me. Whatever she is, someone needs to snatch her up - she is gorgeous!!

Edited to add her adoption page, with more pics and video: http://www.horseadoption.com/horsepr...es-from-patty/

She is BEAUTIFULLY presented. New Vocations gets an A++ for turnout and photography. That is way above and beyond what you normally see.

For anyone interested, here is the website for New Vocations: http://www.horseadoption.com/
The info they have listed for the filly, on their FB page is:
"THOROUGHBRED SNEAK PEAK!
Take a look at our 4 year old, 16.1 1/2hh beauty "Kisses From Patty" available for adoption this week from our Marysville, OH facility! Patty is a unique dark bay colored mare that attracts everyone's attention in the barn both with her looks and her wonderful, calm personality. She is firm lover of TLC and thrives off of a strong bond with her human caretakers. She is very calm and willing under saddle and will be a phenomenal riding partner and companion. Approved adopters may contact amy@horseadoption.com for more info."

New Vocations horses always seem to be fantastically turned out. I wish they would run clinics on how to take pictures & write ads for sale horses!
Its definitely going to be one of the places I'll check out when the time comes .
My first thought (before even reading Freebirds post lol) was Liver Chestnut too. Beautiful shade of it though! I knew an Arab who had similar body colouring but a flaxen mane and tail, but I'd imagine to see it in a Thoroughbred is very unusual.

She is a stunning liver chestnut. My guess is that she will be snatched up.

There's a TB like that in my barn but he's even darker. His mane is almost black so you'd think he was a bay if you didn't look at his legs and tail.

E4L,
Agree, but if you click through the slideshow-- she's the ONLY one presented and photographed so beautifully. Did her connections maybe take that photo? If so, I want to hug them for not only trying to rehome her pre-breaking her down but putting effort into the rehoming too.
ETA- New Vocations certainly takes awesome photos. I just perused their site (not facebook but their regular website). But none of them look the same (or are as great) as the photo of this horse. That photo's in an entirely different class.
Whoever took the photo, kudos. And I want to hire you!

Good question. Looking through their Facebook, I did see several horses with the same photo style and background, possibly photographed on the same day. Maybe the photographer is a volunteer who can only make it out there once in a while. Clearly her work is very high quality and (one would hope) she would have a busy schedule.
Either way, kudos to New Vocations for putting in the effort to present their horses well. It makes such a big difference. Look at all the attention this thread is getting.
