Last year I clipped my gelding to avoid rain rot. It worked
Amazingly well. But I'm wondering if the clip has a name. I've done a quick search online but haven't found anything. Basically I clipped the entire area that a blanket would cover. Legs, neck, head are still wooly.
The most important part is that the top of his back and butt ate
Clipped. Is there an easier clip? Does this have a name!?

White Star (2004 grey TB gelding)
I totally get the motive--to remove hair over skin that's vulnerable to rain rot--but it's sort of the opposite of what is "normally" done to leave the parts most exposed to weather and clip over the areas most prone to sweating.
If it doesn't have an official name, much like a new bacterium or species of insect, you can name it after yourself!
