Cats can't see the surface of water. This is why lots of them like running water and will drink out of/play in a fountain. This also means that some cats are bad drinkers and using wet food can ensure they get enough liquid in their diet!

Cats are the only domestic animal that develop an entirely vocal "language" to communicate with humans. Every domestic cat has their own "language" & different households of cats have completely different "dialects"; they use the vocalizations only to communicate with their people, not with each other, and feral cats do not develop these vocalizations.
