My pads are exactly the same fabric and sheepskin as the one I bought here in the states. They are heavy, thick, and I can see no difference.

Can anybody tell me the difference function wise between the rolled sheepskin on the back of the half pad versus no roll on the back?

Is the pad with "saddle seat area only sheepskin" - does it cover the entire back or is there a break for the "bridge" of the pad (if you know what I mean?).

They all have a gullet where there is no sheepskin. Make sure you do the design your own. You can choose seat only or seat and panels.
We have bought 2 at 2 different times and the sheepskin quality is high. Very plush. Real pelts.

The roll on the back adds length to the pad. For a shorter backed horse, you would most likely want to skip it.

How long after you place your order does it take for the email to come for payment request? I placed an order 3 days ago but have not yet received any emails. I thought it odd it doesn't request payment when you order the pad.

I ride in an 18" saddle, and I'm not sure what size to order. Do you think the 17 1/2 - 18" would be big enough?

Has anyone received their pad? I'm contemplating ordering one but wanted to get some input from those who have received theirs first!

Mine took exactly 30 days from order to arrival. It's exactly what I ordered and platinum quality.
I went ahead and placed another order

The sheepskin IS NOT the same as the Mattes pads that I ordered through SmartPak and Dover. It is lovely, but it is not as dense and is more ornamental fleece than the super duty fleece that came on the SmartPak/Dover ordered pads. That said, they are sure pretty to look at, and the piping is available triple, where when I ordered through SmartPak/Dover only a double piping was offered. I guess the words to describe the fleece would be less dense and more loosly piled. Mine took 7-8 weeks and unfortunatly missed Christmas, but overall I got what I paid for both times!

My phone any my Flickr account don't like each other. When I am back at a real computer ill upload a few for you.
Fwiw I compared the fleece to my grey mattes half pad I purchased via Dover 3 years ago and they (aside from color) are identical. Neither are as thick as my saddle fitters old mattes pads, but hers are 6-8 years old.

Well, I placed my order in mid December and immediately received an order confirmation stating that I would receive a follow up email requesting payment. I still have not received a thing. I then sent a follow up request stating this a week ago and still nothing. At this point, I'm not feeling very warm and fuzzy about ordering from them.
