Default CL Mare in Foal to Hungarian Warmblood (Reading, PA)

If I did not have a full house I might consider this.

    This is the stallion?

Big stud fee and cheap mare. Conformation isn't ideal (maybe it is the pic) but should be a decent foal for the price.

Well, I do see a lot of room for improvement in the mare. She needs some groceries. Despite looking pregnant, she appears in poor nutrition - her coat appears to be of poor quality and her spine shows and her neck is thin. Her hooves look like the ones my 6 yr old draws - who trims like that? Anyway, I think that her front leg confo would be dramatically improved with some actual angle. She does actually appear to have some height, so there is some hope there!

I think the sire is a son of the stallion Wistar.

    (1) If anyone saw Hip #102 go through the sale (Seattle Slew line TB mare i/f to a Hungarian stallion named Tara's Star) could you please PM me? I tried to find information on both the mare & the foal's sire & could not find anything at all.

This farm is nearby me and overall, the farm is in really poor condition, fences falling down everywhere, there are way too many horses and they all look in poor condition. The pastures are all chewed down bare and my husband once delivered his poorest quality hay there (all the owner wanted to pay for). Said whole place was in disrepair.

I don't think this could be the same mare. This one would be 12 - the ad says 7 years old.

I think with groceries and some muscle, the mare would look better. She's not terrible - I've seen much worse mares that are used as broodmares. She's really cute and for the price, it could be worth a shot for someone who wants a mare and foal. If I was better prepared at the moment, I'd call about her- I actually think she has quite a bit of potential... Mare made $82k on the track with a record of 3-2-2 out of 19 starts. Last ran 3/2010 in a $7500 claimer at Parx (then Philadelphia Park)

So I went out and visited this mare and saw the stallion Tara's Star (WistarHS). Nice looking/ moving young stallion. Breeder/Owner is making efforts to downsize and has now listed another TB mare bred to this stallion. http://reading.craigslist.org/grd/3472117286.html
