I am so relieved to hear that your mare came though this unharmed. I am so sorry for your loss of the beautiful filly. My mare that was carrying twins had two colts that were described to me as beautiful chestnuts with blazes and four high stockings. I never saw them, but did mourn them. But keeping my mare safe was my only concern, just as it was yours. Bless you for being so observant and so conscientious. Hug your beautiful mare for me.

It's so hard. I don't think I handle hearing anything about the foal if I was in your shoes. I'm so sorry.
You did the best for your mare and she now has a chance at a healthy pregancy next time.

Awww....you did the right thing and got the right advice. I'm so glad to hear your mare will be fine. That was a terrifying situation. Something was just wrong, and you saved your mare. Good luck with her in the future and may your broken hearts heal.

Relieved that your mare will be ok. It is bittersweet isn't? RIP little filly, but you did the right thing for your mare. May she heal and love you as much as you love her.

What an emotionally complicated situation! So glad your good mare will be okay. Sad and happy, all at once.

The foal was a filly with 4 whites and a white face...why not right? But the BEST part (of this horrible situation) is my mare is going to be ok!
OH, you have such a good attitude...glad your mare is OK and going to recover. You made the only logical decision and did right by your mare.
