I am looking for a dressage bridle, cob size with a cavesen....not a flash which seems like all thats out there. Can anyone tell me where to find a bridle with a normal cavesen?? Thank you

I searched the other threads - my problem is he is a half arab so he takes a cob size and I don't want a wide noseband. I will have to keep searching. Thank you

I feel your pain - the next time I buy a bridle for my Arab I want to buy a finer one, but he's a mix of cob and regular sizes. Will probably have to use Just Bridles or have one custom made.

My Fivestar tack is the Ainsley without a flash. It does not have a wide noseband. The HDR noseband is also not particularly wide, nor is the Anky. Others are wider. I think the Micklem looks quite good on the finer heads. Another thought would be Stubben: http://www.stubbennorthamerica.com/stubbenbridles.php. They have several without flash and a fairly narrow noseband. This collegiate is very fine http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.h...5-547003ab7188. Courbette also does a narrow range http://www.courbette.com/Catalog/acc...dlespage8.html.

I hadn't realized you wanted the narrow noseband. All the bridles I posted above do come in cob size (as all of my horses wear cob size).

I second justbridles.com. I have several horses that are between sizes and I also wanted a plain cavesson. I got really nice bridles for them there.

I love the KL select ones. I bought the Levade model for my cob sized TB and it is not too wide. They are great quality and the leather is very supple.

Have you thought about a rolled bridle? That would certainly be thin enough and there is usually no flash on these bridles.

As an example : Rolled bridle with no flash.

I love Schneider's Premier bridles. I have a cob size one for my Arab which fits him perfectly and a horse size one for my old TB mare. I totally abuse them. My mare's is very poorly taken care of as she's currently used as a lesson horse and I rarely do much more than go out to check on her and feed her some cookies. They hold up really well and I know people who have shown at Scottsdale in them. Best part? They're only $45 or so.
