Leather Halters
I remember a thread from a while ago that had really good quality, really good price leather halters. I think they were from a racing website. Anyone remember these or know of any other good places? Can't find the thread...

Quillin is ok, but they are not cheap.
i special ordered one for my pony - after a few weeks it hadn't shown up so i emailed them and it appeared they had forgotten my order... however once i poked them the halter arrived shortly thereafter....
i had measured everything very carefully and ordered exactly what i needed...... unfortunately, came with a chin that was at least 1.5"s too short. when i emailed about it they sent me a replacement chin - but charged me to replace it(+ shipping) ... the replacement was a good size (longer than i ordered) but it didn't quite match the halter i ordered.
i then had to send another email to get my $$ back for the replacement chin.....and the non matching chin was never resolved.
the halter is lovely tho but...... not sure i would order from them again.....

I own and love a Quillin, and I would gladly own a Tack Shack of Ocala halter...but for raw bang for the buck, you probably won't beat kyhorse.com.
The SmartPak one is very lovely. Based on its description and the options available on it, I bet it's a Bartville Harness Shop halter.

I got the same SmartPak halter for my horse a few months ago ... it arrived at my door (complete with nameplate) 3 days after I ordered it online. The quality is very good for the price and it looks lovely on him!

I've gotten a couple halters from Quillen, absolutely love them both. Haven't had any problems with them and will definitely order more when I need them.

Love nice leather track halters...this older thread has some additional sources for finding a great halter - and lots of opinions!

I love my halter ordered from http://www.tackshackocala.com/ . More specifically, I purchased this one with a brass nameplate and it is beautiful! It was soft out of the bag and the lettering on the nameplate was perfect. He wears it everyday (never for turnout though) and it stays beautiful- no scuff marks or anything- that he also wears it at shows.
Here are two photos with my horse wearing it: one and two .
