Congrats! Would love to see her round.
I heard a neigh. Oh, such a brisk and melodious neigh as that was! My very heart leaped with delight at the sound. --Nathaniel Hawthorne

Here's the link to the winning run. It doesn't show the complete round, but you can see a few fences.

I believe they do some of the USEF stuff in the area as well.

Wow she's lovely!! I can usually find something to critique with the AQHA hunters, but she looks like she could walk into Devon or WEF and win! Congrats!

An awesome mare.
Meghan bought Lucy as a yearling and did a lot of the early training herself
I am thrilled for Meghan, Jessica and Lainie

Just got back from the World Show. The classes Meghan and her lovely mare won were large and very tough - the top 3 had to have a near perfect round. Congratulations again!
I also got to volunteer for the very successful Huntfield AQHA Hunter Derby Finals. The draw party was glamorous, held in the rotunda of the Colorado History Museum and well attended. The courses were interesting and very lush, About 10 of us volunteers started at 3 am to set fences and a large trailer load of greenery, following course designer and fence provider David Warner's plan. David and Lainie Debour did a spectacular job organizing the finals and entire series. I will post photos on a separate thread when I get organized. Here is the AQHA story:

I would have loved to watch it this morning. I was disappointed that AQHA decided to charge for the feed this year, but ponied up for it because there were a lot of classes that I wanted to see. Imagine my surprise when the derby wasn't on the live feed - apparently, AQHA told Roberts Communications that they were not to film the derby.
Just when I think AQHA is getting its act together, they pull sh!t like this.

I saw the Huntfield Derby in person this morning, as well as the finals for the other hunter classes. The Derby was very well put on, and really encouraged the horses to jump very nicely. I saw much bolder rides from our hunters with many of them that would have fit in very nicely in the USEF ring. Good job to all those involved. (plus it was nice to see the riders trying to one up each other for the handy points - some of them became quite inventive!)
