Obama didn't cause this economy. His presidency inherited the crappy bad banking/investment/mortgaging schemes used by banks subprime borrowing and over-valuing of bundled sub-prime mortgages. This is what caused the major fallout that ricocheted around the world and many financial institutions to become insolvent, stocks plummeted, businesses closed and on and on the cascade went.

The economy is starting to recover, but the crap that started it needs time to be cleaned up, moved out, and overcome.
