Amazing dressage partner 15.1 hand fancy adorable mare SE PA
As part of my cutting back, due to my health issues, I am offering this amazing mare on a free lease, to a wonderful home.
She is 15.1, gorgeous, and has three lovely gaits. Very brave, light and forward, she doesn't know how to say "no"! She is now 15 years old, and was a project for one of my former working students, who adores her, but moved way out of state, and had a baby- so, she could not take this mare with her. Always barefoot, with super feet, she lives outside happily. She desperately needs her own person- she loves attention, and thrives on it.
She works in a loose ring french snaffle. We have not shown her, but she was in work with a dressage trainer/judge/clinician intermittently- when that person had time to work her. She has been out of work, sadly, for months.
Her only vice- if it is one- is that she will bounce around in cross ties or in a stall, when you are FIRST putting her back to work. The second day, she is better, and by the end of a week, she is perfect. She doesn't kick, or bite, or do anything rude whatsoever. She simply fidgets, until she is back in a program. She also has sweet itch, and lives in a flysheet from Spring on- and, she comes with her own flysheet.
In spite of the myriad of riding faults I am exhibiting in these pics, this mare tried her heart out for me. I adore her and wish I could have taken her with me when I moved- unfortunately, life got in the way.
She is brave, sweet, and likes to work. Being the perfectionist that I am, there were days that I would end up drilling her on something (before I really thought about what I was doing- and stopped) and she never gave up or acted out in any way. She just kept trying to do what I wanted.
She is awesome- and will make someone a lovely dressage partner.
To answer some of the questions I am getting- this mare is not suitable for beginners. She doesn't have enough milage, and she has too much engine. Not quick, and she stops on a whoa, but she isn't ready for that.
I am so sorry to read that you are having health problems and need to rehome this and other lovely horses. You've probably already contacted the same people I can think of, but in case you've overlooked any, PM me and I will suggest a few people who might be able to help network/or even take one or two.
RIP Sasha, best dog ever, pictured shortly before she died. 3/17/12, Jenny has crossed Rainbow Bridge; 5/23/2012 Snowy too now.
Had a recent inquiry (one grey pony?) but have not heard back...so she is still looking for a great home! Thanks!
I would like to know more about your mare. I am a. Para-equestrian and needs all horse that is suitable for FBI conditions. While competing my primary gait is the walk and its subdivisions – medium, free, and collected please contact me back about her. LauraPrivate email –firstname.lastname@example.org
