    The rider, I believe, also rode a pony at Harrisburg and was sixth in the Medal Finals.
    All completely fine with the rules.
    I think I remember he also did a pony at CC (one of Maddie Schaefer's?)- the pony was busted!

    Thank you everyone. I think I miss read some of the rules--I will go back and look. I LOVE the Maclay!! What amazing riders and inspiration for me!!

    OK, this is a really stupid question, but I'm gonna ask anyway.

    Juniors are to wear their helmets at all times when mounted...but young gentlemen still remove their helmets to recieve their awards.

    Don't get me wrong - I love that they are still gentlemen about it - but isn't it technically breaking the rules?

    Would anyone ever be silly enough to lodge a protest over that moment of good manners?

    I hope not.

    Especially considering that there are plenty of USEF disciplines where riders are not required to wear helmets at all.
