Default Looking for hat display hooks- need help.

Okay- hopefully COTHers can help me. I want to buy some of those long hooks with round wood pieces on them to put fancy hats on. I have a couple cute hats from Derby parties etc and I want to store them in my re-modeled closet in a way I can see them when I walk in. Anyone know what I am talking about? I can't even figure out what to google b/c I am not finding what I'm looking for. Thank you!

You might try googling (single) robe hooks. . . I have these fantastic brass long hooks that I use to hang my horses blankets on... the hook extends out 4-5" with a rounded knob on the end.

I know exactly what you are talking about, because I have one that holds three hats, but I went to the catalog site I got it from, and they no longer carry it.

    Would something like this do?

If you are handy heres an idea from my BO:

Take a metal rasp and a horseshoe, cut horseshoe in 1/2, weld on rasp at top and bottom. spraypaint both whatever colors you want. Hang rasp. Holds 2 hats and you can change angles as wanted for interest. Maybe able o use more horseshoes for more hats on a rasp, I dunno.

That sounds like something you get from commercial sources for display, or when a store goes out of business.

Thanks for all of your ideas! I'm looking for something that mounts to the wall and sticks out so the hats sit flat like they are on your head. I saw them somewhere a few years ago and have been thinking of doing this over my dresser ever since! I guess I could put them on shelves- I just have an unused wall space over my dresser that would be perfect for these.

    Here's a wire one. http://www.americanstorefixture.com/...atdisplay.aspx

I bet you could build something or get something built cheaper than this. Or http://www.comfortmarket.com/hrzm158...9-001b2166c62d
