    Default Solomon Farm Sporthorse Auction

    Greetings,
I just found out from a friend that there is a local warmblood breeding facility hosting an online auction of over 35 of their horses. Looks like a very nice facility, with a variety of ages, and bloodlines including broodmares.

Here is a link to their farm page: www.solomonfarm.com

    Just some food for thought!

Default Hunter broodmare Nightshade & Blue Hen Broodmare Shirlee Steel

Solomon Farm is the home of the Hunter broodmare Nightshade. She and one of her daughters are mentioned at the bottom of the first page in this thread:
    http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/sh...e-Fall-Auction

Solomon farm also owned the dam of Daniel Geitner's Grand Prix mare Sympa, Summit Peak. Summit Peak is a daughter of the thoroughbred mare Shirlee Steel xx. Shirlee Steel xx produced the ATA approved thoroughbred stallion Cloned Steel xx, and Pan Am Game Event mare Landlady by Landslide.

I've attached an article below about Sympa.

Maybe there are a few hidden gems in this auction waiting to be snatched up by some luck person?

Nightshade is a daughter of our stallion, Meisterwind, out of the AQHA mare Pine Song.

Although I'd rather have a riding horse, I kind of just want to bring Robin home...I have a soft spot for the oldsters. (And then I re-read the ad and saw she was 1999 not 1991--so not that old--oops).

On the off chance one of the posters is related to the auction, they should list the production for the mares.
