I found the horse fiction book Crying with Cockroaches very motivating. It reminded me that if you stop to plan and see all of the barriers in life sometimes you will never complete a task. I still keep it on my desk at work to remind me not to let dotting my i's and crossing my t's keep me from moving forward with an important task.

I love "You can Heal Your Life" By Lousie L Hay...I've had this book for YEARS and still read it. I keep it by my night stand and highlight parts that "click" with me
It not only tells why our thoughts affect our lives it explains HOW to change our thought patterns thus encouraging a positive life style.
