Can we kill "similar threads?" It's making some sort of random boolean connection that I can't understand, and it's not showing me anything I have the lease interest in seeing.

I just do not scroll that far down on the page.

When I'm only interested in the last few additions to a thread I'll pull the page all the way to the bottom and then go up.
So for me it's annoying. Plus, it's bringing up ancient threads! We're going to have a lot more confusion with people commenting on threads that are 6 years old...

There are major problems with the format on ie9 that don't happen on ie8.
On "todays threads". I get
V
i
e
w
s
:
3
7
1
and so on
It uses up a LOT of space
The banner on ie9 that says "FAQ Calendar Community Forum Actions ..." is off to the right, with the ads, and runs off the screen even with the window maximized.
With ie8 it is a DIFFERENT banner "Settings FAQ Member List Calendar ... and it is over the actual threads.
Also, when typing a reply, the cursor keeps disappearing, and it is very hard to figure out where you are.
WHile I apprciate an "autosave" function, the little yellow box keeps popping up RIGHT ON TOP of where I am typing.

Change your preferences to "newest first".

I find it very hard to read red, particularly on white. Any less bright color would be good.
The new format is very large and makes using with dial-up even slower.

What does "notifications:1" mean?
And where is the thing that says I have PMs?

This is on the "similar threads" box near the bottom of the screen, not in the regular forums. It's referencing very old "similar threads."

Add me to the list of people getting a headache from the red print.
Janet, there is an almost invisible tiny white arrow just to the right of the word "notifications" that will take you to PMs. I don't know how the alerts work now.

Notifications are things like your PM notifications and letting you know you got a thumbs up on a post.
You will find your PMs under the notifications.
ETA - I just had a problem getting back to this post. The arrow that allows you to go to the last post was blocked by something (it was not visible). I think I posted about this issue in the beta testing chat too. (I do not remember how to figure out what version of firefox I am using, sorry.)

Click on 'Settings' on the top left in the navigation bar to get to the User Control Panel.
That will also get you to Notifications (i.e., new PMs).
Forum Jump is now 'Quick Navigation', in a box under the page #s, with the same drop-down menu.

Clicking on the thread title used to get me to the last read post, now it just goes to page one. How do I get it to go to last read?
