And I'm not sure why I got a thumbs down for saying that before. Does someone hate the GO button? Strange.
Just to verify, you're interested in a return to the "Go" button, which took you to the main page of whichever forum you were reading a thread in, instead of "Top," which takes you to the top of the page you're on. Since this isn't a option we picked, it's a part of the new software, it would require a modification to the software code. We'll check into how much of an issue that would be.
The email notifications should now be fixed -- I'm actually posting this message in part to test the thread subscriptions! And supposedly the thread view count is also fixed, so let us know if you're having trouble with either of those issues.
Thanks for your patience!

Mod 1,
I, as well, miss the "go" button. Especially since you have to scroll through so many options in the forum navigation menu. The "go" button made it easier.
Thank you for keeping us updated on the progress.

Ditto. The go button was much more expedient.

I'm still not getting any e-mail notifications. Is there something I have to do to reactivate this. I see a list of subscriptions on one page; yet another page says that there are no subscriptions for this time period, or something along those lines.

Clear your cookies. If that doesn't work, clear your cache. If you're still having problems, report back.

Check your settings on this page:
www.chronofhorse.com/forum/profile.php?do=editoptions
Second item under "Messaging & Notification," "Default Thread Subscription Mode." I imagine you would want "Instantly, via email"? Is that what you have selected, or something else?

I'm still having problems with things loading very slowly. Any remedies for this?

Are you having this problem consistently or only sporadically? If it's the latter, it might be because the developers were working on a problem at the time. I've had a few periods where the site was basically non-responsive, as well, but it resolved shortly thereafter. Just want to see the extent of the issue for you.
You can also try clearing your computer's cache/cookies, which sometimes helps when things are acting randomly strange!
--------
The default advanced search screen has been switched so that the screen you're taken to first is more like the search we were used to.
The thumbnail pictures for Premium members has been fixed, though that one may not be active on the live site until tonight -- haven't checked yet if it made it over.
We're working on IDing the source of/reason for the increased spam.
Thanks!

If you plan to poll the membership on something... could you post the poll in all the discussion forums (or at least in off course) rather than in the techie forum. Until the switchover to the upgraded format-- I didn't EVER visit the techie forum and I suspect that's true of most members.

Our search is still pretty sub par when it comes to complex search terms. Best bet is to use google to search the site:

Unless, mods, I'm missing something?

PM screen covered by ads
I can't PM or even read PMs because they are covered by the ads.
Is there a setting I need to change?

FWIW, it would be really helpful to have a darker line that breaks the message text and the signature line. You have to look to see what is a link someone posted vs a link that is in their signature line. Not sure if others have felt this way, but when I was on a thread looking to see a picture, I kept clicking on poster's signature line links instead of the link that was posted in the thread because the line is pretty faint.
