It is an addiction, no doubt about it !
I just got back from a few weeks in Germany so have a couple of stallions that I am really interested in using. I really liked all of these stallions in the flesh..the real problem is narrowing it down:
Londontime
Hochadel
Fuerstenball
Lissaro
Viscount
De Niro and Danone II
I am also super impressed with Damsey who is turning out to be a rising GP superstar in Germany. I am 99 percent sure I will use him this year.

Yes, Dr Brockmann confirmed that the test freezing worked and he will be available frozen for 2013

I thought I was pretty close but there are some exciting new stallions I really like, like Montaro OHF and Edward Scissorhands D'Avalon.
I have really been leaning towards A Fine Romance or perhaps a repeat to Concerto Grosso or Formula One for my eventing bred mare Casey Darling. Glad I have plenty of time to figure it out!

I was just thinking about this the other day
Winsome Jolina (Coconut Grove/Solid Silver) to Cartier R (Cassini I/Acorado)
Cachinka Hero (Radco d'Houtveld/Chin Chin) to Cartier R (if the 2013 foal is as nice as i think it will be
Rapunzehl (Contender/Landgraf) to Cartier R
Oiselle M (Quinar/Lantaan) to Cartier R
Tropica (Come Back II/Astaire) to Cartier R or Abrikos if I decide to try for dressage
Venezia (Voltaire/Joost) to Diabolo d'Esquelmes (Chin Chin/Carthago)
Osine (Lux Z/Burggraaf) to Diabolo
Portia (Pikadero/Prinz Gaylord) to Valentino Z (Darco/Feo)
Jennibelle's Noble Pride (Cielo B/Larrumpin) to Jus d'O (Quincy/Dollar de la Pierre)
Capriana (Contucci/Martini) to Esteban (Idocus/Flemmingh)
Stars Above (Royal Hibernian/Best of Luck) - I'm undecided. Maybe Figaro B (Pavarotti vd Helle/Wellington) or Esteban or Cartier R. Or maybe a repeat to Deja Blue because the filly from that cross was awesome!

I am also addicted!
I have questions about two stallions- does anyone have successful Dancier pregnancies? Any pros and cons about him?
I have already decided to use Diamond Hit with one mare, and hoping that Soliman de Hus is available for another mare.
What does Hochadel bring to the table?

I'm not opposed to the idea! I will say though that I have to admit that I have had thoughts that our jumper stallion Imothep could breed well with dressage type mares........ Just a thought?
So perhaps the lines can be melted away and we could do it?!
I do very much appreciate the acknowledgement and thank you!
Cheers!

This year I am pretty set on breeding my Rotspon-Davignon mare to His Highness for an ET. However, with the success of the Dancier-Rotspon crossings I have toyed with that too....but his frozen is not great and I am not that big a gambler for ET
2014 I am leaning on breeding my Davignon-Matcho mare to Quaterback...

We are sort of looking at Zonik for a Sandro Hit mare. And Fürstenball for a Quaterback mare.

Just one for 2013:
Catoki to Viv (Cardento/Calando) Stamm 776
I'd love to do an ET with my Coconut Grove/Solid Silver mare but not in the cards for this year.

I know I want to breed one of my mares just have not decided which mare-
My 16 year old warmblood maiden mare is one that I would love a foal from but not sure about breeding an older mare. If I breed her I will either use In Shining Armor,RID or Rosario.
If I breed my ISH Mare I will breed her to Rosario or possibly a warmblood with jumper lines. I got a colt by Rosario out of her this year and I really like him and would like a filly out of her.
So to answer your question, I sort of know what I want to do next year but still a lot of indecision.

Thinking of sticking with Canadian stallions this year to not have to deal with the CEM issue (although I love Edgar and his stallions )
- holsteiner mare Winter Eve (Chaka Khan / xx) to Candillo Junior
- Purchased a new mare Garcia (Gervantus II / Wodan / xx) in foal to Portland L for 2013. Have seen photos of a colt from same cross and hoping for a repeat
...if so, may do the cross again.

It is Quadroneur. I believe he comes from the same damline as Poetin.

Planning on repeating the Negro cross with our Flemmingh mare for 2014 foal; expecting the same in Spring 2013. We like our 2012 colt that much.

Peg, there's a vet in MA, Dr Anne Schmidt, who has gotten Dancier pregnancies.
As for my breeding plans, I'll be breeding my new Donnerhall mare to Royal Prince. :-)

I sold my last Dancier last spring because the semen had never worked for my mares. My buyer's mare is now pregnant to Dancier.

We have had several Dancier foals at our inspections over the past few years, so semen can't be too bad. From what I hear (and see) Dancier can sire fabulous foals, and also some plain ones. Not consistent. I would also look for a good temperament in the mare, as he doesn't necessarily add that to the equation.
