A lot of those experts don't show because all the judges are biased.

Maybe they are out riding their horses instead of being glued to the internet.

Ah! Velvet! Those are the ones that "are all hat and no cattle", but considering they spent megabucks on that hat, they gotta wear it somewhere, even if they spend most of their time "talking through their hat".
Some riders change their horse, they change their saddle, they change their teacher; they never change themselves.

They don't really know what they're talking about, as clearly I'm the expert.
Y'know, because I can get my 1st level horse doing airs above ground. And the judges ARE biased, because they don't give appreciative scores since they don't realize he's actually just showing them how advanced he is.
Duh.
My horse is a dressage diva so I don't have to be.

I don't care what people think of themselves or talk about, as long as they don't start acting like they're my trainer and telling me what I ought to do, try, etc...
Can we please develop some sort of universal symbol for "No Unsolicited Advice?"

You gotta love that the western dressage topic has more interest than one that points out a flaw in the logic some people live by.
Oh dear. Thread not getting enough attention?
Maybe it's because your "epiphany" is very old news for most of us?
