Default Don Sheehan relocating to Icon Sporthorses In TN January 2013, such great news

How lucky for Icon Sporthorses to secure Don Sheehan to relocate to Knoxville, TN. Such a great talent, trainer and rider. It's sad for his departure from North Carolina and his longtime clients there.....

He's a character! Great instinctive hunter rider and good horseman. I have never dealt with him as a client but as an outside perspective the main thing I notice is how horses tend to go forward, softer, and just overall better with him aboard. I enjoy watching him ride. Sad to see him leave the NC area! Although as I am looking into graduate schools it's nice to know that there is a reputable trainer that I respect in that area in case my studies lead me that way!

It is definitely a loss for NC. Don is a true horseman. Lucky Tennessee!

Best of luck to Don. I knew him well when we lived in Southern Pines, before moving to Siberia...oh I meant Oklahoma!! He donated lots of lesson time to the Moore County Pony Club which my daughter belonged to and bought horses from us and bred to our stallion back then. I'm sure NC will feel the loss.
