Well mine is a 5 year old must live out side MARE (whose also in season apparently...yay me). The other is 10 and really fine either/or, but does get a bit stiff/creaky when in, especially when her hocks are due.
I'm worried about the 5 year old since she is grumpy in a stall plus a bit "energetic" anyway. She's the one that is most likely being moved to the jumper ring since grumpy faces and "I want to go faster" antics are a BIT more excusable. I did get a quick school in saturday early early before the weather got nasty.
ETA- working in property management...I had to come in so no "Sandy" days off for me!

Nicole riding "Just a Kiss" I most likely be doing Santa Anita Hunters (if mare-face remembers where she placed that pesky lil brain of hers), Churchhill Downs jumpers, and the model class.
Victoria (my sister) will be riding "Can't Touch This" in the Churchhill Downs jumpers, and the Belmont jumpers. Possibly showing the model class and I'm trying to talk her into the handy hunter class.
We are coming up early thursday to school, and staying in Barn 8 with River Run Equestrian center. (Course...we most likely will be wearing our "Maple Farms" sweatshirts )
I'll be there. Unfortunately my Jumper is out until til March show but I am bringing my old 25 year old doing the pleasure classes along with my trainers mare with only 2 months of training and also doing the pleasure classes!!
The shows are fantastic and while I will miss Anne, the ultimate purpose is to create awareness and celebrate the breed which I think the purpose of this show does VERY well! Proof is in the pudding...the show gets bigger every year!
I'll also be down early Thursday with my two and we are in Barn 7 for any COTH'rs that want to meet up!
Following Emily (whom my first meeting was this show) My real info....
My name is Sasha Moran and I will have Little Bit Indian (Indy) and Sparkling Halo (Halo) at the show. They will both be doing the Blue Ridge Charities and the T.I.P pleasure classes. Halo will also attempt the model! I'm in barn 7, ring side near the highway! Come visit!
You guys have gotten me all excited for the TB Celebration Show! I can't believe I've just heard about it and my TB has been off the track for two years. I'm about a two hour hike to Lexington...I HATE not having a trailer. Grrr.
Darn you guys for getting me all excited. I'm going to start hunting around now for a ride in March. This sounds like so much fun!
If you post on the FB group looking for a ride you might be able to round someone up with an extra slot. I'm only bringing two (four horse trailer) so actually picking up a friend of a friends horse in Richmond on my way up. If you don't mind chipping in with gas then I'm sure you could get someone.
*no I am not charging to haul, yes I'm aware of the regs for commercial hauling.
We had SO much fun!! I rode my friend's mare "Tutu Tango" in the T.I.P. W/T & W/T/C. She's been a polo pony the last couple years and I just started her "hunter training" a month ago. Very proud of her, she was so good! We had to head out early today because we found out our truck headlights didn't work, and had to high tail it home before it got dark. We'll be back next spring for the March show! Big thanks to Krista & the rest of the fabulous show managment for putting on a fabulous event!
Without a question (and not by my personal opinion, but the opinions of so many I've spoken to) this is the largest and most successful show yet! Fantastic turnout and fabulous prizes and spectators! I've enjoyed seeing and meeting so many new faces.
This series of shows makes the entire horse industry proud. Yesterday was a highlight meeting and spending time with Kate Chenery Tweedy and Leeann Ladin (co-authors of Secretariat's Meadow) while they signed their books.

Xctrygirl- I have to say Unbridled Lad may be one of the nicest horses I have ever seen. I'm quite envious. (I'm the one you borrowed the wheelbarrow and pitchfork from). You were definitely right about his jump! All I can say is WOW!!. I had a wonderful time with the group I attended with (River Run Equestrian Center, Timber Wolf Farms and Maple Farms). Can't wait til March when I can bring my newest acquisition with me to show!
HEY!!! Thanks so much for letting me use the wheelbarrow and fork! He is a very very special guy. And I don't think there's enough credit out there for me to give him. He is one of a kind. I appreciate your kind words. You definitely have to come out in March!!!

Xctrygirl...Anmoro and I stayed to watch the 3'7"s and BOY were we drooling watching him clock around!!! He is FABULOUS! We both were discussing what he and my girl "could" have produced (the Kissin Kris mare). I mean...he really does have scope out the wazoo and obviously has a severe case of wood allergy on top of that (lol), plus looks extremely rid-able (or you just made it look easy) and overall is a very nice, obviously high quality horse...I swear if he goes missing at another show...he's not in NC, promise!
My sister was joking watching the other horses go around that we brought a squirt gun to a paintball gun fight....there really were some really nice horses there!
