    Default pH strips

Alright, edited for clarity, I haven't slept much lately. I'm not a horse breeder, but have heard a lot about using test strips to determine when a mare is going to go into labor. Are there any horse people who have been able to try this out on themselves when pregnant to try and figure out when they themselves are going into labor? I plan to try just for fun on myself this spring, and am curious if I'm the only one. It seems like it would make life a lot easier to have an idea of when labor might start, since early labor signs can go on for weeks, and women can walk around dilated for weeks prior to the birth and not go into labor. It struck me as odd that there is a process for figuring out horse births, but people don't really do the same.

Somewhere in the world, Jason Miraz is Goodling himself and wondering why "the chronicle of the horse" is a top hit. CaitlinAndTheBay
