Big jingles for Karen and speedy recovery from surgery set for tomorrow.
FB post from Eventing Nation:
"We've just learned that Karen O'Connor will undergo surgery tomorrow afternoon at Johns Hopkins to stabilize a vertebrae that shifted enough to worry her doctors. Her thoracic surgeon is known as the best in the field and the prognosis is excellent for a full recovery."
From the O'Connor Event team site posted on 10/19:
Brian O'Connor's update on how Karen's surgery went yesterday: "Karen is in ICU recovering from a length (5+ hr) procedure to put in a rod next to her vertebrae (T1-T10), a bit longer that what they thought, but stronger and better. She is in good spirits, from what Max (the superstar) says, she may be up and about later in the weekend.
