    Default Jingles for Karen O'Connor

Big jingles for Karen and speedy recovery from surgery set for tomorrow.

    FB post from Eventing Nation:

"We've just learned that Karen O'Connor will undergo surgery tomorrow afternoon at Johns Hopkins to stabilize a vertebrae that shifted enough to worry her doctors. Her thoracic surgeon is known as the best in the field and the prognosis is excellent for a full recovery."

So sorry Karen is going through this.......anyone know who her surgeon at Johns Hopkins is?

She always amazes me, it seems she's leading the way and setting examples we can learn from once again! I truely admire her in so many aspects!

I've got a unstable vertebrea too and have been putting off having the ole rods and screws.

Thank God it wasn't worse for her........I'm sure she'll bounce back strong and confident very soon!

From the O'Connor Event team site posted on 10/19:

Brian O'Connor's update on how Karen's surgery went yesterday: "Karen is in ICU recovering from a length (5+ hr) procedure to put in a rod next to her vertebrae (T1-T10), a bit longer that what they thought, but stronger and better. She is in good spirits, from what Max (the superstar) says, she may be up and about later in the weekend.

Jingles from Ohio! I remember as a kid watching Karen and taking my breathe away! Karen O'Conner and Micheal Matz were the two riders that made me want to learn to jump!

Saw her yesterday at the PRO session at the USEA. She looks good and seems to be getting around great! That back brace has to be uncomfortable.
