    Default Eventing Photo on Facebook

I saw this eventing photo on facebook (don't worry, you can click on the link without an account).

I wanted to know more about it. Anyone know the place/rider/etc.

Thanks so much for any assistance.

I found this one before. This is Clayton Fredericks. I am trying to find which horse. I thought it was Burghley 2010, as he is pictured below, but it's not the same horse. So still working on the horse.

Here's a similar pic of him on another mount.

I'm so happy this wasn't about the crash montage/football meme going around!

FYI, I think Townsfields Flyer is the name of the fence, not the horse...

That fence is identical to the Broken Bridge at Kentucky - where Kerry Milliken lost her Seoul Olympic bid because Pirate fell into it and she broke a leg - in 1988.

I loved that fence because, as I recall, it was close to the trade fair and the beer truck (which served delicious brew in real glasses).

    I heart Blenheim.

The most famous version of this type of fence would be Cottesmore Leap at Burghley. It's "the picture" to get on a XC course made up of some of the most intimidating jumps in the world. It's been on the course for years and years.

Look at the last photo on the link (as above) http://www.flickriver.com/photos/kim...7624817161393/

of Laura Collett jumping bareback in the High Jump, and just gasp in awe. I think she won in 2010. Great competition to watch.

Ahh I remember that now. Sorry. The horse is "Brookleigh"

Here's a video clip from that round:

IIRC she fell with HMS Dash, her first Advance horse. The Pirate was her second horse and rising star in 2007.

I was there! Like other people said, it's Clayton on Brookleigh at Blenheim in 2010. Here's a 2 photo "sequence" of him jumping Fence #5 - the Townfields Flyer. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater

You have to give credit to these horses - they are so bold.
