Default Fleece quarter sheets & static

With winter coming, I'm thinking about picking up a quarter sheet for my boy. The only problem is that we've had issues with static electricity and fleece in the past. This isn't good for my already rather sensitive guy! Especially when I pull the sheet off him and give him a nice-sized zap. We've had better luck just wrapping a wool sheet around us, but they're not as convenient. The Rambo newmarket fleece sheets seem particularly cute...and they get rave reviews.

Do you have good luck with them? Is static a problem?

I keep a bottle of static guard in my grooming box and give the sheet a spray before putting it on.

Why not get a wool quarter sheet? I've never had a static issue with my wool quarter sheet. Centaur makes a nice one for not too much.

I've been looking at wool quarter sheets and just haven't seen as many options... I'll google Centaur next.

I have a wool one as well, much nicer without the static.

This! It's worth it, especially since the Rambo newmarkets are so cute. I'm about to order one, and my mare is super sensitive to getting zapped by fleece anything, so I plan to keep a bottle of static guard on hand.

Thanks! I've never tried the Static Guard, but it's a good suggestion. The newmarket sheets get such rave reviews on Smartpak & no one mentions anything about static, which made me wonder if they were somehow magically static-free. They are really quite cute.

I've also not had any static issues with my Rambo Newmarket quarter sheet. I also have a SmartPak one and I don't recall static issues with that one.

Thankfully today I don't need either, yay Indian Summer!

I have one of the SmartPak fleece quarter sheets and don't recall having any static issues with it. The little mare I used it on would have most certainly murdered me on the spot if she would have gotten shocked by it.

Me too! Or you could try a dryer sheet instead - same concept.
