I have non-climb fencing with a wood top rail and single strand of electric rope at the top. My posts are about 10ft apart. The problem I have is weeds grow up my fencing in spots (mostly honey suckle and poison ivy...yikes!) faster than I can keep up with them shorting out the electric rope. The horses then will lean on the fencing and knock off the wood top rail. I have been thinking about taking down the wood top rail and having Ramm (or similar) fencing placed on the top.

Anyone done this? How does it look? Anyone with the kind that has the electic in the "rail"?
