    Default FEI horse and rider licenses for eventing

    http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/compe...91/314395.html

    Could be coming sooner than you think.

    Kind of hard to see how this is much different from qualifying.

    Has anyone seen the actual proposals?

    I can't find ANYTHING about it on the FEI website. Or the USEF website.

    Default Licensing

    Point 1 - Europeans love bureaucracy. Their nations have never been free nations, but have replaced one form of autocracy with another. They appear to be incapable of managing their lives without the intercession of an authority figure.
    Point 2 - So we will now have licensing for FEI riders. The problem is that the FEI has not thought through the qualification/licensing procedures, so you will find a lot of contradictions and empty spots where you should find continuity.

    Plus one more fee.
    Another way to end eventing, at least at the FEI leve, price it out of existence.

    This wins a prize for hilarious ignorance.

    Hilarious, yet embarrassing, if this is how Americans see the world.

    I thought Tulkas was English for some reason...
    Rhode Islands are red;
    North Hollands are blue.

    I would like to know what the USEF position is on this, what sort of competitor feedback and surveys they did before taking that position, who the decision makers at the USEF are, what the main points of the discussion were, and why they didn't publicize the proposal specifics AT ALL.

    Oh wait! This is the USEF. The Politburo rules.

    I wish there was the equivalent of an administrative procedure act for FEI rule changes with publication and a period for public comment.
