    Default Cormint? Holsteiner stallion

What kind of foal does he throw? How old are his oldest offspring? What are they doing?

Cormint is a great stallion, throwing modern refined, and great jumpers. His colt Capt. Sparrow (Cormint/Barnaul XX) just won at the Bundeschampionat 5 year olds. He will offer some length of body, long legs, but you mare should have a good trot.

His Full brother is Cathalido here in North America.

I know they are liking his offspring a lot.

His offspring are winning everything !

His daughter was the champion mare last year. His son won the stallion test this year and another son was just the winner in the Bundeschampionat.

Oldest children are 5 I think.

He throws a modern foal. mother needs a good trot and ample bone.

I have my best mare here in foal to him.

My daughter has a 4 yr old by Cormint and out of a Heraldik mare. This horse is leggy and a v good mover and jumper. He rates high on her "ridablility" scale! She is very excited about his future. I would certainly breed to him at some point.

Is Cormint throwing different offspring than Cathalido?

Cathalido makes very good mares. He still has sired the highest scoring mares in the AHHA book. The sons.......not so good as stallion types. He dominates thru the daughters. I bred a very good Cathalido / Lavaletto / Acord II daughter who has produced Appeal S in this years stallion test.

Cormint makes good sons and daughters. He is better connected thru the topline than Cathalido. Cormint finishes the jumps with a better hind end than Cathalido. Cathalido produces better movement in the trot than Cormint. Both stallions need mares with enough bone as they tend to produce very modern children from their Lord / Sacramento Song xx grandmother.

I will surely be able to tell you the difference this spring if we're lucky enough to get a healthy foal. I stated above I had bred a mare by Cathalido / Lavaletto / Acord II.........I bred the same mare to Cormint this year. It will be most interesting to see how the two full brothers produce on the same mother.
