    Default Baker Sizing Vs. Rambo

Would a horse who wears a 75 Rambo turn-out wear a 78 Baker? He's only three and a TB but he's already fairly broad-shouldered. He's even able to wear my mare's 81 Rambo fleece, which though a bit long on him (he's on the short-coupled side), fits him pretty well through the shoulder.

I should have clarified that I'm looking at a Baker stable sheet, while the 75 Rambo is a turn-out.

I have a horse that Rambo 75 fits perfectly, and he does wear 78 in the Baker turnout sheet. I have a Baker stable blanket for him as well, but it doesn't have a size label and I don't know what it is. Only thing with the Baker sable sheet, I have found they shrink a bit when washed, so I almost wonder if you'd need to go up another size, but hopefully others will weigh in as well.

Not to hi-jack but I measure my mare yesterday and she tapes at 76" inches. I'm looking at a medium weight Rambo, would you go for a 78" or 75" ?

This is what I was worried about as I'm looking at used sheets, and you never know whether someone has put it in the dryer.

I'm thinking you should go with the 75. Rambos tend to run large plus you're supposed to subtract 3 or 4 inches from your measurement, depending on how you measured her.

If looking at used, just ask the seller to actually measure, both from chest to tail and top line (wither to tail), then compare to one you have that fits.

On the 76 measured, as long as that was center chest to butt cheek, I'd say go with the 75 Rambo. They do run big. If you look at Horseware's website, they have instructions on how to measure and choose the right size. One thing ive found is I sometimes have to go up in size on the wug cut vs. regular cut, as the wug can be tight in the shoulders. Depends on the horse.

    Lot of help, aren't I?!

LOL yeah I'm not sure what to do. I found a Rambo Supreme Medium weight on eBay that is the right price, but it's a 78. Now, my horse has worn 78 before, but not ever a Rambo. I'm scared to buy it and have her drown in it, but at the same time I'm scared to pass up a great deal. Oh, first world problems.

My horses that wear a 78 Baker sheet wear 81 Rambos. I like my Rambos big enough to layer underneath. And the Bakers do shrink a bit when washed IMHO.

My guy measures a 76, and wears a 76 in other blanket brands. I bought a Rambo for him and the 75 fits perfectly. IMO Rambos run pretty true to size. DON'T follow the subtract 4" rule, even if the website says to. I did that when ordering my first Rambo , I had to send it back, it was WAY too small.

I just bought my mare new clothes. Her Baker t/o sheet, Baker blanket and Rambo medium weight t/o are all 78". They seem to fit well, Rambo is a bit more on the roomy than snug side, but I also want to be able to layer, so a 75" Rambo would be too snug for her. FWIW, she measures a bit under 78" and I've always found the Bakers to JUST fit her.
