Happy Thanksgiving, to we Canadians!
Apparently Mod1 forgot before she went away...
Or, we and Tim Horton just don't matter.

Mod 3 is still around and can be PM'ed. And thus the 'can we have an OT day' threads in the week before many US holidays as well.
Happy Turkey Day to you and the other Canadians!

Happy Thanksgiving to my neighbors across the water! May it be great time.
Pray tell, do you go moose hunting the way the men in the USA go deer hunting and then come home and watch never ending football?

Back in my day, we didn't have as many warning labels because people weren't so dang stupid!

Deer and football AND hockey reign here but I wish more would go after the damned moose......they are not supposed to live herem but we have thousands of them on the wide open prairies. They finally figured out there are loads of them when moose are running into vehicles in the cities. The 'dog people' spend more time chasing wayward moose than catching stray dogs.

Hockey? Where do you live? there is no hockey... yeah!! I am lucky that my husband is into F1 racing and it's only every 2 or 3 weeks!! and tomorrow!!
Happy Thanksgiving to fellow Canadians! We are celebrating tomorrow and the turkey is in the brine. The stuffing is ready as is most of the meal.
No time for the barn for me tomorrow though!

There are dozens of WHL games televised here in the west so hockey isn't a problem apparently. I don't pay much attention to the stupid game

Happy Thanksgiving, Canadian COTHers!
And I share the disappointment with no OT day...it's a holiday weekend in the US too. I had been looking forward to it all week

Off to work today, but will have our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. Did you know that we make Pumpkin Ice Cream specially for this time of year? It's like having your pie and ice cream all rolled into one! Yummy!!!!

We did our turkey dinner yesterday. I work today and my son leaves tomorrow so we are already doing the turkey left overs. yum!
It was a very full day, started off with making this for breakfast,
http://www.marthastewart.com/330179/...ion-mother-day, giving Tom the turkey his bath and dressing and putting him in the oven for a good tanning, then off to the barn to go riding. It was a family & friends day at the barn, DH went and picked up DS and then they did a few things at the barn for BO. I got to go for a lovely trail ride and spend time with friends, the weather was so nice and the trees looked outstanding. Then off to home and apple picking. we ended up with 4 wine boxes full http://sphotos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto...47950901_n.jpg. Topped it off with a great turkey dinner and pumpkin pie after. Spent the evening watching movies and enjoying my family.
Can't think of a better way to spend the day.
Are you going to cowboy up or lie there and BLEED?

Although I'm a new Canadian, and Thanksgiving is foreign to me, I shall be attempting to make a pumpkin pie. (+1 on my Canadian-ness scale, I think.)
Happy Thanksgiving, all!
