Default Sire of 4yr old IHF Champion?

I was just reading (in my Chronicle that arrived today) about the IHF Finals. The article stated that the 4 year old champion was purchased in Europe. The sire of the 4 year old was Lordanos which also sired green conf champion Cold Harbor. I just searched the IHF website on stallion nominations all the way back to 2006 and could not find the stallion listed.

How is this horse eligible for the IHF?

I'd love to know who named him "CRIMSON TIDE" -- LOVE it!! As I'm a huge Alabama fan, would love to know the history on that! One of my babies is registered as "Roulette Maree" which is French for "Roll Tide", LOL! No wonder he is winning!!!

Nothing sneaky going on here. There have been other threads on this subject.

Here is the nomination form: http://inthf.org/forms/2012Supplemen...nationForm.pdf
It's expensive but you can nominate a horse via this method.

Thanks! Didn't think anything "sneaky" was going on, just wondering since I didn't see him nominated and that the horse was already 4. I figured someone knew the answer!

    Simple answer? Money

Long thread re this and yes, current owner who was at Kentucky "back nominated" for all 4 years - also owns "Cold Harbor"

I wonder what the motivation was, as prize money couldn't come anywhere near what it cost to nominate...

And prestige would also be negligible due to severely low entries...
