d-niro video--the hallelujah freestyle
I made the loser decision NOT to videotape D-Niro's freestyle at Devon last night. Anyone know where footage of that freestyle might be? Not on Youtube as far as I can tell. Will the live stream be turned into video?
Lovely, lovely freestyle.

LOVED it too.
The others for me were generic freestyles, but this one had me really glued to the screen.

Been hunting for it to. My DH crashed the internet about 2 minutes into it...
Got it back just in time for the final salute.

Omega Alpha's FB page has it.

It is rare to see a rider who is truly passionate about the horse and his training, taking a profound interest in dressage with self-abnegation, and making this extraordinarily subtle work one of the dominant motivations of his life.\"

In the article about her win on dressagedaily.com, she says, "I barely had to ride him. I just had to sit there and thank him."
Love that.

I loved the uniqueness of the music. Of course I'm a big Neil Young fan and have many of Joni Mitchell's albums, and no doubt Halleluiah is immediately recognizable, but at the same time the music was so individual...so beyond cutting and splicing (or the digital equivalent thereof).
And I agree that that final centerline was just outstanding!
(but did I see a hint of a resting right hind leg in the final halt? If so, a serious flaw so she'd best just get out of a bad situation before she's further embarassed and just donate the horse to me, where that kind of flaw will just fade away in the midst of all the other mistakes I'll be responsible for! ) Again on a serious note, great ride and I'm so happy for her! Wish I had been there.
Only one cat - must not be totally crazy yet!
