Jingles for Caitlin!
As Eventing Nation posted this morning, Advanced eventer Caitlin Silliman had a nasty fall yesterday and is in the hospital with a skull fracture. She is alert and communicating, and luckily, she was wearing a well-fitting CO helmet at the time of her fall that helped protect her from what could've been far worse.
Huge jingles to Caitlin and her team, and best wishes for a speedy recovery!!

Caitlin is an extremely kind and hard working person. This accident is not only horrible in it's own right but comes at a time when things were really coming together for her. After risking her own well-being to save horses in Boyd's barn fire she spent many months on the sidelines nursing Hoku back to heath with a dedication that is rarely seen. She was finally reaping the fruits of that care this summer with Hoku's miraculous recovery to run her first 3*s. In addition, she got the ride on Remington - an incredible opportunity. I just hope that she can stay strong mentally and emotionally. It looks like she will be unable to ride for a number of months and, while she has to let herself heal, I can imagine that sitting on the sidelines will not be easy.
We love you Caitlin and know you can pull through this. You are stronger than you even know.

Bumping this back up- news is Caitlin was moved from intensive care yesterday. Agree with all the above comments- Caitlin is a hardworking, incredibly sweet woman with a smile that lights up the world. What she went thru grating scar tissue off Hoku's burns took a strength few have. I look forward to watching her fully recovered galloping around Rolex in the spring- You go girl!
