Default Juan Manuel Munoz Diaz reflects on his ride at the 2012 Olympics with Fuego

I just like this guy and his horse

Says: "If I could ride any horse in the world dead or alive it would be Totilas!"

Juan my friend, THAT is because ride the other infamous one

His sad demeanor makes sense now. The article implies Fuego is now a breeding stallion and no longer competing.
I'm glad that's what it was and he's not being sold.

I will miss this pair so much. I agree that their rides in London were on the somber side but this pair would win every time if there were scores for joy. They are one of my favorites to watch for sure.

What? Proud to be 10th in the world? Not suggesting that his country should have sat out the games since he might not medal?

"To get Fuego to Grand Prix I had to ride him everyday with perseverance, dedication, and push myself to be a part of the big game."

This is the part that the vast majority of riders forget. It is hard to make yourself go outside six days a week, even when you love riding that horse.
