Default Free OTTB in NW PA - 6 yr old, just off track, big hunk

This horse is at a barn near by me. I guess he needs to be gone by Oct 1, not sure what that means.

Here's an Equineline pedigree for Deputy Broad.

Equineline has no listing for an RIP Deputy Broad.

Why would anyone suggest that a horse described with RIP, which usually means dead, is a giveaway? Maybe they mean that he WILL be RIP if a home isn't found in a week?

"RIP Deputy Broad" is the facebook page, not the name of the horse this thread is about.

Deputy Broad was a horse that ended up at slaughter, sent there from a trainer at Mountaineer Park, iirc. There was a fair bit of anger about it, hence the fb page, but I think the people running the page also post about other horses needing help, etc.

It's a different horse in that picture than the one the Facebook page is about -- the FB page is a tribute to a TB sent to slaughter in 2011. I'm assuming the page is now working as an awareness page/advertising potential slaughter-bound horses to adopters.

Sorry folks, yes that is NOT Deputy Broad... that is just someone who shared the photo that my friend, who manages the barn where the horse is currently boarded posted. I did not have time this morning to find the original post so I guess it looks like it was posted by RIP Deputy Broad, which is just a FB page as others have said.

You need to contact the person in the link on the photo if you are interested in him... I was just sharing to try to find him a home.
