Loved every minute of it! A great education, an improvement in my horse's way of going even though I only had one session with him, and he wasn't nearly as caustic as people made him out to be. If anyone is interested, a friend of mine made absolutely fabulous auditor's notes on this thread. What a fantastic opportunity, and thank you so much to everyone who helped with the prep via this thread.

Question - did he make you jump a chair?

And about the no stirrups jumping, day two of my clinic last year the first no stirrups activity was over a liverpool!

This post is the perfect illustration of why I attend his clinics only to audit.

Enjoy! He thought we should all have practice over "dodgy" jumps!

And this is why I will only ever audit.
That thing would literally scare me to death.
I swear I would drop dead there and then.

Haha it wasn't THHHHAT bad... he had us jump the wings a few times, then walked over to get the chair he'd been sitting on and we were all like ... um what?! but our horses cleared it! (At least he gave us the wings and didn't just put the chair there!)

I don't know that I could make my hunter do that, jumper would go right over it, but I know that the hunter would through a fit and eventual George would just get sick of me.

Holy cow.....my mare has a bird if there are green boxes under a jump! A chair? She'd loose her marbles, pop an anyurism and drop dead of fright right in front of him!

For GM fans, here's a picture from when he was a *little* bit younger:

    Note the extremely correct position.

Great picture of GM. I was also a big fan of Sinjon.
I heard a neigh. Oh, such a brisk and melodious neigh as that was! My very heart leaped with delight at the sound. --Nathaniel Hawthorne

I liked Sinjon too, I got to see him go for the last couple of years of his career with Bill Steinkraus riding.

I really enjoyed auditing his clinic this past weekend. I like how he also "taught" the auditors. A lot of clinicians ignore the spectators but GM explained to us what was going on.
