Wow. I am jealous on a lot of levels. If that were me & my horse I would have order a life-size blow up & about 150 wallets. Very nice.
Every time I think of having photos professionally done, I start to wonder about the logistics. I clearly need staff to prep horse & just hand her over after someone has done my makeup.

au contraire... I did it all by myself! The only assistance I had was having the photographer zip my dress for me. I'd planned on having a friend along to handle the horse if need be, but things didn't work out. It certainly would've been a lot easier, but it's not impossible without.
For whoever asked, that's my Pleasant Colony grandbaby, Kansi La.

Beautiful! Was the photographer somewhat horsey?
Can't wait to be able to do a photo shoot with my own horse.... some day!

That's beautiful!
And boy can you tell that's the typical PC shoulder there...
My horse is a dressage diva so I don't have to be.

Yes, the photographer dabbles in H/J, if I heard correctly. She just lost her mare to EPM a few weeks ago. She really did a great job.

You guys look great. And you aren't wearing The Barn Jacket that I always say. You clean up nice, girl!
Oh, and Big Guy looks strapping-er than when I saw him last.

Why thank you. It was a bit warm for The Barn Jacket, although that is sure to change shortly.
The big guy is doing well. New farrier, new diet, new joint maintenance...he still has a few pounds (and lots of topline) to add, but he's coming along. Jumping like a Real Boy these days, and well enough to make my hunter friends slightly green.

Wow!! AWESOME pic!! DH and I had our "engagement" (we were really married) pics done before leaving for VA and we had some done at the place I was keeping my then two geldings. We didn't plan well enough so we weren't able to get pics done with them, but man I wish we could have!!
Heinz, now you've got me thinking about Christmas card photos.... Poor Mr. rNj....

Hehehe!
Mr. Heinz was also involved in the photo shoot, albeit later and without the horse. We had snapshot-type photos from the actual wedding, but I wanted something a little more artsy-fartsy that we could have framed or put into a book. We may do a Christmas card with one of them - although it will have to be small scale, postage really adds up with mass mailings (don't ask how much it cost to mail out wedding invitations with return postage paid envelopes).

You both look fabulous. Amazing what a little food and care will do for a horse. Can't believe he is the same skinny guy just a few months ago.
