Now, what is wrong with these horses that people should not like them? Maybe we should keep the breeds a secret.. heehee... Here's the funny thing. what warmblood would command a stud fee of more than $50,000? There are lots of Tbs that do that....
I love my tb, he has more heart and soul then most and personality!..... even with him being retired he still is my favorite! I guess the german version is okay I have one of them too!
My retired one has some nice relatives too.... Invasor and Leroidesanimaux.. I know not true halves but still in the breeding, same dad...

This is my mare who is now bred...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../tip10-8-1.jpg
And one of her under saddle:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...SC_0780-01.jpg
She is 11 years old and 16.1 hands.
I have had several others around the same height that were built like tanks. I love having a wider barrel because I feel so much more secure in the saddle.
My current horse is 17 hands and really filling out now.

Thank you MIC! She is bred to my TB stallion, Dark Kestrel. We all think she has
the next triple crown winner in there.

Met a boarder at my new barn today. We started talking about my horse and she said "He's a Quarter Horse". I reply, "Nope, he's a Thoroughbred". "Oh, you mean a Thoroughbred/Quarter Horse cross?" "Nooo, he's all Thoroughbred". "But he's so short! And stocky!" He's 15.3, he's not THAT short. She just couldn't believe it lol.

leahandpie, thanks! He is a special horse that's for sure! He has given me a whole new appreciation for this breed, taken me to new levels in this sport and really made me a much better horsewoman!
It takes a certain type of person to be able to relate and bond with a TB and I am so very happy that I am one of them. For those who can't, I am sorry!
jenarby - I'll keep my fingers crossed for a fast baby for you!

I was looking through my photobucket account and I thought I would add a few more of my past horses.

This is the gelding I lost two years ago. He was my heart horse. This pic was only a few days off the track. I never had to grain him and he was always a pudge. I miss the big guy.

Absolutely gorgeous.
I had this same conversation many years ago with someone putting down TB's. I pulled out my pics of Shecky Green and What Luck. You could have heard a pin drop. LOL!

I'll play..
Here's 8 years worth of conformation Pics of Lad.
He's more swaybacked now at 12, but you can see he still has PLENTY of substance.
