I have not read this entire thread so I apologize if I repeat anything. First of all most WB are not breeds... Excluding Trakheners... If you look back at what made the WB it is the TB!
For jumpers check out Idle Dice... as someone mentioned Coconut Grove and a Fine Romance...
Forego was anything but Weedy! Even some Mares.. Zenyatta comes to mind...BUT heart does not always follow the body.. Seabiscuit and john Henry...You do not have to good looking to win a race!
I have an OTTB that is by Candy Stripes and everyone thinks he is a WB until they see his head... TB all the way...
I will get off my soapbox now and go back to lurk mode...

This is my OTTB at about 8 years old...

His grandpa is Blushing Groom.. Does he look weedy?
He now wears and 80 blanket and uses a 54 girth also and he is only 16 hands!

Don't you just have to laugh at those that say TB's are weedy and then to that they add "with a 10" stride. Go figure.
Thanks for posting the pic. I'll take your "weedy" guy. Just lovely.

I am a confirmed tb girl, please so.not tell my new horse he is a trakehner, but our last horse had shark fin withers by definition.... Mount witherest but he did intermediate eventing with very good results and was a wonderful dressage horse...
Funny story... I was at Rolex several years ago with a friend a dressage queen and in comes a beautiful moving grey... Floaty and ground covering strides... I asked her what kind of horse he was... Her response was, some kind of warmblood..... No, it was Courageous Comet! She had never been to Rolex before , and I said... I want to.see your I2 horse do the xc you will.see tomorrow... She also saw Teddy! Talk about a pony.. she.never put down the Tb again.. at Oat least in front of me......
For those who believe bigger is better never met Teddy or Headley Brittania... She was only about 15.3 I think.....Rachel Alexandra is not an imposing size but her.record speaks.for.itself...

Both of these!!! I grew up riding OTTBs, still own one-a BIG muscular beast (84 blanket and 56 girth) that people always ask his breeding. No other breed is as athletic, intelligent or willing IMHO.

I did not read the whole thread, sorry - but here are some pictures of my "weedy," actually under 16 hands TB. She is 15.3 and change.
At 16: https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...06156128_n.jpg
As a 3-year-old: https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot..._3919833_n.jpg
Proof of her uselessness
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92QlfFQIC4A (fences are 1.45m in the first round, 1.50m in the jump off. Please pardon my pilot error in the JO, I had not seen fences that big in a LONG time and was a little overly conservative)
She wears a 54'' girth.

Tell my 16.3, sz 80, 54-in-girth-wearing, BIG moving OTTB that he's weedy...I dare you!
Gorgeous mare, Supershorty! She makes the fences look easy!

Supershorty - what a nice mare!
Love how athletic they are. Yes, she made it look effortless. You are a great pair.

Weedy? This is a British TB stallion.

Thanks, kcmel, for posting him.
Not saying, however, that this type is found frequently in the US.

Weedy TB owners, unite!
Ha! I resemble that remark (that the OP referenced). I have a TOTALLY weedy tb. He has legs like a spider and Becky Holder actually said his neck was too long (with a big smile on her face, but speaking truth). But he does not lack substance, if substance generally equals long term soundness. Beauty is as beauty does.
That's him on the left and the right on the banner on this page. http://camstock.net/camstock.net/About_Camie.html For those of you keeping track at home, the horse in the middle is a full-blooded hanovarian. Huge fun too.
I also have a couple of nice tanky tbs in the barn. Love them too.

I feel sorry for people of that belief.
Here are a few pics of my weedy little ottb:
http://s1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag67/sisu27/
He's a warhorse, 16 hh, 1300 lbs, size 2 shoe, 54" girth and 11" cannon bones. Such a pathetic little specimen indeed.
Here is one of my current faves standing locally:
http://www.norseridge.com/horses/perfect-soul-1722.html
Now he's Irish bred but still all TB!
