Loving all the new additions! I'm going to have to start Googling the little guys.
Measured my mare the other day and she's sprouted up a bit - 15.3 in back, 15.2 in front. I was a proud mom.

I just bought a 13.3 horse. He is massive! And adorable! (Check out pictures at the link in my signature line.) Of course I don't show and don't have to keep up with whatever standards. But my 13.3 guy does not feel small to me.

I was looking through older pics on my Facebook and saw this combination from over the summer.
This is what it looks like going to a GP oxer on Nikki!

You are brave! I hope my mare has half the heart as Nikki.
Side bar, what's her breeding?

My mare barely measures 15.2hh. She's my favorite horse ever to ride. She probably has a ten foot stride, and we do add in in and outs occasionally, but she has more heart and scope than a lot of the bigger horses I have ridden. She is only 8 and just stepped up to the 20s. We even made it to washington this year! As long as you have no fear going up to a jump bigger than you, you should be fine! She has not only gotten me to be a huge mare fan, but also a huge fan of smaller horses! Here pictures of her:

If your horse says no, you either asked the wrong question or asked the question wrong.

My favorite horse ever was The Boy Wonder (rookie), won the big A/O Jumpers at Harrisburg among a lot of other big classes. 15.2 on a good day, and an appendix QH. Quiet and sweet on the ground, and really got a lot of funny looks when they went in the big rings until his rider turned it on and they beat the snot out of everyone. Unfortunately he shattered a pastern and had to be put down a couple years ago.
