Ralando II competed in Germany as a young horse up to M-Level (1.3m). He was imported by Eduardo Braun as a seven year old and competed up to the Grand Prix level on the east and west coasts before becoming a schoolmaster for an adult amateur. In 2010, a change of ownership meant a change of discipline as Ralando II transitioned to the hunter world with amateur rider (now turned professional), Arly Golombek. The pair amassed top placings and championships as both a Regular Working and A/O Hunter at elite A-Circuit shows including WEF, Kentucky Spring & Summer shows, the Kentucky National, Capital Challenge, Pennsylvania National and the National Horse Show. Before retiring from competition, Ralando II was competing & winning in the Adult Amateur divisions with students of Arly’s.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Ralando II today. What a lovely stallion! He really has a great type and had a super career. The sBs licensed him for breeding today and I am very excited to see his offspring

Please take a look at our stallions Zeno has all the things that you are looking for. He is by Quattro and out of a Burrgraaf mare he made the switch from the 1.30m jumpers to the hunter ring this year as an 8 year old and was 7 consecutive times Champion or Reserve in the Green Conformation in CA and the Combined hunters here in AB. So lots of people loved the 1985 Mercedes, but they don't build them like that anymore--thank goodness. Styles change, types change--and if you are a breeder today thinking of a match for 2013 covering, you have to be breeding for the fashion 5 years from now. And RG is old style, old type--

I am not "selling" him. I even said several times he is probably not the right stallion for OP's mare. Just dont like to see a nice stallion trashed. There are many nice RG horses around. I have no agenda as I don't own one nor have I bred one. However I have always wanted one and admired him. Enough said from my perspective on it. You can think whatever you want.

You have lots of great suggestions!! I love Cabilto and we want to try him as well! Personally from our own expereince and what we have seen from our own foals Apiro will seems reliable on giving a beautiful neck and "look", improves the movement in elasticiy and impulsion. I would also look at Landtinus, lots of jump.. great temperment, improvment in the movement and pretty.

Have you considered Popeye K? He definitely has substance and size, is a nice mover and a great jumper. Plus, he is a real gentleman.

We are really pleased with our Popeye K filly.

Betsy, I really like what I see and hear about Cabalito, though I've never seen any of his offspring -- or know little about the breeding of the mares that he has bred to that have produced good competition horses.

Knowing Allegria's breeding, I would not dismiss A Fine Romance (TB). I might be inclined to put a bit more TB blood back into her.

I've always admired that stallion. The owner ("Fred" on the COTH) forum is one of the most respected.

If I had a WB cross (by Argosy) and wanted to improve on that -- and no doubt your girly has done VERY well on the line and then took it to the comptetion venue -- that's probably the stallion I'd be looking at.

Before AFR, I would have been looking at Simbalu, or Bit of Class. Neither of them, nor do I think, AFR, will give you "hot". Just more of what you want out of her.

Just my 2 cents, for what it's worth. Give Miss Piggy a pat on the head for me.

Decisions, decisions...that's the hard part, and also the fun part, of serious breeding.
