Equisport International's webpage used to state that Don Slaughter was a renowned international Grand Prix rider and stated that he was certified with the USHJA, but not anymore. I know very little about Thomas Baron's equestrian "career", and a search won't show anything either. He owns a trucking business.

By the way, we have still not received any reasonable offer to settle or info on where my horses went. If anyone has seen or knows where these horses are please get in touch with me. See my blog for photos of my horses and Mr. Slaughter with them in 2011.

Did you want the whole web page, or just the opening page to which you linked? Here is a PDF of the latter.

I did want that page, which lists his credentials, and also the "horses for sale" page mentioning his trust in Don Slaughter. Thank you !

Is there any way to have a time/date stamp to accompany it?

Date and time are in the upper right of each page. URL is at lower left. The links in the PDF files work, BTW.

Here is the sale page. It's pretty simple. Just ask the computer to print out the page, then do Save as PDF. Then open it in Acrobat Professional to reduce the file size so the BB will accept it. I had to dink around with this one a bit more and reduce the image resolution to 72 dpi to get the file small enough. So, it's not as sharp. I can email the sharper one to you if you want. OK, simple if you're used to doing this.

I have a copy of the Horse for sale page with my horses listed on it. I'll try to get it on my blog or post it here this week.

He has credentials, just none that are horse-related though he has a few pics of himself on a horse if you know where to look. From what I can tell, he is just some guy who claims to have migrated here from Europe and he is a nobody. His real business is a low-end film/video production company he runs in CA. I think I know some people who know him in person but I can't say anything more than that because the guy is pretty much off the radar.

I'm relieved to hear that. I am not in the area ,but it really irks me to see others being mislead by these people.

Hopefully by discussing the misrepresented credentials , suspensions. and dubious legal records we can prevent more innocent folks from being swindled.

I just hate the blatant dishonesty. It leaves me seriously peeved.

I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. It's beyond heartbreaking.

I updated my blog with the proof that my horses were on Thomas Buettner's website! Go take a peak.

    Default BARN OWNERS BEWARE

In Response to this post. I am Jacqui Owner of Oakridge Farm. Ross McArthur who wrote this post goes by the name showjumperonline, med1kim@usa.com or IFCF. He poses as the owner of permistall and is selling stolen goods. His theft has been reported to the police. He has taken many barn owners in Southern California for an enormous amount of money. BARN OWNERS BEWARE and DO NOT DO BUSINESS with him. He also sends emails and pretends he is Dr Kim Neelson. If you need more information, ask a feed stores, permistall, or any barn owner in the area. Many have all been ripped off by him.

What is it that people who are just making it in the horse business feel that they have such a sense of entitlement that everyone else should pay for their pleasures?

This thread has taken a weird turn.

Jumper_SoCal, I just figured out "who" you are by looking at your latest blog entry. Was familiar with you on HC. So sorry Varia has disappeared. I know how much you loved that mare.

Thank you fellow HC'er. It was more devastating to lose my Cento gelding to such a monster. I pray every night that the new owners at least come forward so I know where the horses went. Then I can sleep soundly at night. I care for them deeply and want to make sure they went to good homes. I held out until I was in my second trimester to send them to Don Slaughter for help selling. At the time no one had any info online about Don because I did an Internet search on him and asked a couple trainers I 'knew' in Sylmar and NO one warned me. Only after I released publicly what happened did they come back and apologize for not warning me.

Jumper So_Cal, I too am a former HCer and I am deeply saddened to hear of this. Your ponies were sweet and you did love them very much. What happened to your old man? Hopefully he wasn't involved in this whole thing. Didn't you have a baby? All of this is so much stress for a new mom

Old man and baby are doing fantastic through this whole ordeal. Thank you for asking.
