    Default Dog Halloween Costumes

We go to a Pugoween party every year. Love dressing up and visiting the seniors in the nursing home and boy do they love the Pug parade!

Last year, I made sheep costumes for the Pugs and I was Little Bo Peep. You gotta love a theme.

This year I'm thinking flying monkeys and the Wicked Witch.

I just can't find a pattern like this, and I'm not good enough to make my own. Apparently the woman made this for her dogs only. Any ideas? Anyone here talented enough to make this or a pattern for me?

OK, you are far more ambitious than I.......My (large) dogs go every year to the local event dressed as a pumpkin and a flower. Those entail large felt neck pieces, one in orange and green, the other pink and green.

BUT I got intrigued over my coffee this morning, and I suggest you go to and type in dog costumes. They have lots of patterns, and it seems to me that any shirt or vest design will do; Wings- maybe a piece of cardboard covered w/ fabric, or light wire frame?

ALSO - go here: this one is easier to see, and a bit less complex. There are some other great pictures too.
We don't get less brave; we get a bigger sense of self-preservation........

I've done the purchased holiday collars/ruffs, etc. on a couple of my dogs, but costumes they simply refuse to do. I'm lucky I'm able to get my coonhound into her Thundershirt when necessary, never mine a pumpkin suit.
