I ride western but most western boots are not known for their warmth. I have screws in my ankle and a rod in my leg so cold really bothers me. Anyone have any recommendations for a good warm, winter boot that is safe for riding?
I have the Ariat Brossard and I love them. Very, very comfortable and I can't stand cold feet. This is my 2nd year and they look like new. I kind of hated switching back to paddock boots in the spring, and wish they made an unlined version. I have invested in SmartWool socks too.
Regardless of boot choice, get a pair of Electric Socks. I had frostbite on all ten toes back in 1985. TO THIS DAY, I cannot tolerate the cold on my toes... they go numb. So those socks keep me moving and warm.
