    Default TB Pedigree Gurus

I've been following TB pedigrees for sport and I was wondering if any gurus had any insights into my OTTB.
I've had him almost a year and he's the nicest horse I've ever owned-athletic, smart, good mover and a great mind.

I know Fappiano, Cahill Road, Honest Pleasure are good to have in a pedigree but I know nothing about the European TBs on his dam's side.

    Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Can't help you with the European horses, but I have a mare by Friendly Lover. She looks just like him, bred for speed, short thick neck, looks like a Quarter Horse and keeps weight on like a quarter horse. She is short, maybe around 15 hands (I haven't measured her). Her personality is fabulous. She is very level-headed, smart, calm, and a total pleasure to work with.

    Thanks, Petey Pie!

It's great to hear about Friendly Lover. I tried googling him and you can imagine some of the things that popped up! I know he had 66 starts, so I'm really hoping soundness is in my guys genes!!

Here is a picture of my guy:

A shameless bump and a question-other than google, how can I find pictures of my guy's sires/grandsires, etc? (I'm guessing it would be easier to find sire than dam pictures but I'd be happy to find anything!)

I've had some luck finding pictures on http://www.sporthorse-data.com/

Not all the pictures will be there, but it's a start. Good luck!

I'm just learning the TB bloodlines as well...
The only one I recognize so far is Damascus, which I believe is a horse you like to see in lines!

    Thank you!!

I haven't had the best luck in picking some of my previous OTTBs, so I really did my research and relied on my trainers input this time.

I am just so thrilled with how well he is doing and I love his attitude. Well, except for trailer loading! We're still working on that one!

He is turning out to be everything that people that love TBs talk about and I feel so lucky to have found him.

He truly is a fancy guy, I bet he's a real head turner!
I spied on your other photos of him as well!
