    Default Clinton's Speech at DNC--AMAZING!

That was the greatest speech, 48 minutes of telling it to the people, simply and directly. Thank you, Bill. You inspired and fired me up!! Amazing and awesome and funny and revelatory. Four more years!!

Yes! That was probably the best political speech I've ever heard. Wow.

You know, Republican or Democrat, that was a hell of a speech! He is such an orator, commands that stage! Awesome!

Yeah. And the guy normally creeps me out. I just love that he was SO informative and clear and explained all of the "issues."

Mroades--that was what Mr. CC (an old school Republican, who now votes Dem due to the religious/social stance of the party) commented on that first thing, and the exuberance and size of the overall audience. We watched both conventions, have heard the speeches by all involved so far. Clinton hit it out of the park! Compared to the RNC, the Dems sure are more enthusiastic and vocal (and colorful!).

I think Clinton is one of the best speakers in the political history of the U.S., and probably also in the history of English-language speakers. Love him or hate him, he is charismatic and extremely intelligent.

Ever since Obama's election, I've wished he had half the oratory skills Clinton has. The whole country (just about) and a lot of the world was ready to keep being inspired, but he hasn't lived up to the speech he gave years ago (I think at a DNC?). His inauguration speech sucked.

I agree. Every time I see him it reminds me how much I miss his speeches--really the only pres whose state of the union speech I actually looked forward to. Enjoyed Elizabeth Warren too--loved the line about how the Republicans say "I've got mine, you're on your own." Exactly what I thought they were saying last week.

I am Canadian, but I was listening very carefully. I do like Bill and I love great orators. He really kept me interested throughout.

Great speech...he has a gift! Doesn't even make you think about doing some fact checking.

And he knew how to work with both sides rather shutting out the other side after losing his majorities in Congress after his first two years.

Liked Reagon's speeches, always uplifting....Carter was a downer, though. Plus lived through his gas lines, high interest rates (think 14% mortgage) and hostages held in Iran for over a year.

We were watching it on PBS. The panel pundit from the NY Times sadly conceded that compared to Bill's speech and Michelle Obama's, the RNC had nothing.

Fabulous! I even went over to President Bill Clinton's FB page and 'like'd it! He did a great job! Obama's solidly got our vote, and yet another donation. Go, Warren!

ETA I agree, mroades. That crowd was my America, too.
