    Default Oh, JSjumper!!!

This elf is almost done collecting your gifts. One left to make and one on it's way to me. But I need to know, would you like me to send them right away or wait? I hope you like everything; I think I did a good job.

Sorry for no rhyme: kinda some crazy things happening right now just haven't got it. Will do better on my next message. Promise!

Oh, and question for the masses... how would you all feel about receiving a secret santa item that isn't brand new? I found an amazing super high quality horsey item that I think my person could really use for her pony and would love, but while it is in perfect shape, it's not brand new (it's about 5x the gift budget new). Would that bother you guys? I'm trying to get something really nice that she could use and would appreciate, but the budget is a bit limiting. Thoughts?

I think it depends on the item.

    A fantastic bridle sure,
saddle (we will not discuss fit of course) yes,
tall boots....no used ones can be shaped funny from the first owner.
    A piece of art, yes.
    Why not ask your giftee...

I'd have no problems with secondhand gifts, provided they were gently used and still had lots of life left.

Oh please be good to Starhouse. She made our gift for Eleannor and sent it quickly.
And her horse was injured afterwards, so she needs some cheering up.
    She deserves a nice present.

    Okey dokey, JSjumper!
As soon as they're all finished your gifts will be on their way
To hopefully bring holiday cheer and brighten your day!
I hope the USPS trucks are reindeer equipped
And I will let you know as soon as they're shipped!

I wouldn't have a problem with it at all!

Well it depends. Those old and moldy 100 dollar bills are always a good gift.
And likewise, a Renoir or Rembrandt or even a Modigliani is good, since those can be rehomed through christie's for some of those old and moldy hundreds. To buy grain and hay and apples!

If someone wants tack and you find a used but in good condition piece, get it. We've bought some used items for ourselves and used them. Like halters and bridles and saddles. Showing up in a new saddle is just asking for ridicule by the herd.

I agree - I wouldn't have an issue at all with getting a used gift.

If it would be something that you would be happy with then I say go for it. I know it wouldn't upset to get something I want even if it is used. But mind you I buy most of my higher end stuff used any way. Why pay new price when used is already broke in.
Are you going to cowboy up or lie there and BLEED?

Does anyone put in inexpensive extras with their gifts? (Just little silly fun stuff. Like single serving hot chocolate packets or other cold-weather-holiday-season randomness.)

You must have been watching some of my shopping.

I've got all but one of regular gifts and am now scouting out the extras. I think it's fun.
