This elf puts her Christmas tree up very early -- right after Thanksgiving. So, I wanted to make sure if you do the same, you would have presents to put under the tree ASAP! Or, you may decide not to wait for Christmas, and open them early to get you in the holiday spirit -- completely your choice of course!!!

I had never gotten a negative rating at all for any post up until a post on this thread a few days back reminding folks of the purpose of the SS thread. Most people appreciated that, but a few didn't. Since then, I have been getting several negatives scattered among various posts on many threads, sometimes on posts where I have trouble seeing how it could be negative. Considering the timing of when this started, I smile and forget it. Everyone has a right to express their opinion, after all, and that's a quiet and much more appropriate way than some other methods.

The same thing happened to me dressagetraks! So bizarre!

Yes. I will give only one hint to my giftee in the fact there is one Item i give every single one of my giftees. It's a family tradition that has basically extended itself to my giftee.

Thanks, Elf! I'm cozied up with a cat to the computer right now. Not as cold as the north pole here, but it's definitely getting chillier. If I could change ONE thing about my dream farm, it would be the climate, moving the same land about 400 miles south.

I hope my giftee will be happy--I just splurged a bit over the budget I said I would do. Oops! It's all good, though, originally my budget was made when my job prospects were slim, but I'm gainfully employed, so I wanted to splurge and make my giftee's day.

I went a bit over too. My giftee really needs something, and I found one! I hope she's happy with it. I love being able to find something someone really needs and doesn't have!

HOLY COW ELF! TarheelJD, you are AMAZING! I haven't OPENED anything yet (um...that may be happening tonight...not going to lie), but after a truly terrible week, I came home to a HUGE box waiting for me! I dug in and pulled everything out, wrapped so beautifully! I had to sit on the stoop and cry for a second that someone could take so much time and do things so beautifully! After a year of being forgotten and shuffled behind getting everything done for everyone else, that, even BEFORE opening anything, was one of the best gifts one could get the eve of thanksgiving. THANK YOU! (expect a private message once I get things actually opened) Thank you for making my day, week and month, and for your gorgeous wrapping skills! (Which I truly wish I had!)
