CAn y ou describe, the facility/courses?? I LOVED Jon Wells' XC at Tryon last year - most fun I've had in years, really - and am way tempted to gear up for Windridge this year. Like to support places with cool educational courses!!
Maybe 10-15 minutes off 74 (i'm not sure why it is an area III event since it is in NC). Dressage and warmup was in a stone dust arena a short trail/road hack from the parking area. Stadium was across the driveway from parking in a grassy 'bowl' with warmup on a slight slope. Cross-country was behind parking on nice grassy rolling terrain... Kind of reminded me more of VAHC than Tryon. Fences were decent sized, asked appropriate questions (did Prelim and student did BN) but very inviting. and of course with Alicia running it, well organized.
Was there in May for the driving trial Jeanette and liked what I saw of XC. For us the dressage warmup was less than ideal, and we got sent down the road to get to the ring - which needed maintainence during the day and didn't get it.
I'd go back again to drive and DH wanted to come right back the next weekend for the horse trial. (Plus it was our first blue ribbon at a recognized driving trial so the venue has a special place in my heart!)
